About us
Walters & Simpson has more than 70 years experience in the construction industry. The company was set up in 1934 as a partnership to provide construction cost solutions to the building and engineering industry. In 2007 the company was transformed into Walters and Simpson (Pty) Ltd. At the same time it broadened its shareholding and made the board more reflective of South Africa’s demographics.
The company has its headquarters in Johannesburg, with offices in Durban, Pietermaritzburg and Cape Town. It has international links with
UK-based Gleeds, which has offices throughout the UK as well as in Braunschweig, Frankfurt, Madrid, Paris, Prague and Warsaw.
In Africa, Walters & Simpson has associations with Gleeds BBL in East Africa, with offices in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Through Gleeds we are also represented in Cyprus, Egypt, Gambia, Ghana and Zambia.
Our team
Walters and Simpson has a multi-disciplinary team of about 50 permanent staff who have extensive experience in project cost control and project management in both building and civil engineering, as well as engineering experience in the process and mining industries. |
